Some neighborhood maps from various sources 

Boston downtown - Theater district and Tufts-New England Medical Center. From G.M. Hopkins, Atlas of the County of Suffolk ... Volume 1; 1874. Two sheets covering what was then Ward 8: 15 x 24 inches and 15 x 12 inches. Highlight color. Condition: repaired edge tears top and bottom; map face very good. - Shows building footprints and names property owners. For those who knew the area before the Mass Pike and some street revisions, it is bounded by Boylston Street to Washington to Beach to Albany to Curve, thence to Indiana Street, along Washington to Pleasant Street to Carver and back to Boylston. As with most older central city areas, a large number of building have been replaced.  $65.00
Boston: Back Bay (Arlington to Exeter).  From Geo. W. Bromley, Atlas of the City of Boston. City Proper, Volume 1; 1883.  19 x 28 inches. Highlight color showing building material (mostly brick). Condition: a bit of time toning at the edges; overall very good. - Shows building footprints and names property owners. Covers the area between Boylston Street and the Charles River, from Arlington Street to Exeter. This neighborhood is full of familiar buildings: Arlington Street Church, Old South, the Hotel Vendome, the Museum of Natural History (formerly Bonwits?), and the Institute of Technology (MIT?). Some empty lots remain. The regularity of  the grid make this an art piece.  $135.00
Boston: North End and waterfront.  From Geo. W. Bromley, Atlas of the City of Boston. City Proper, Volume 1; 1883.  19 x 28 inches. Highlight color showing building material (mostly brick). Condition: a bit of time toning at the edges; overall very good. - Shows building footprints and names property owners. Covers much of the North end and the waterfront from Lincoln Wharf to Commercial. Starting at Faneuil Hall, the bounds are Union Street to Charlestown to Stillman to Salem to Prince to Bennet Ave to North Bennet Street to Hanover. Thence along Salutation Street to Commercial to Atlantic Avenue to Clinton Street to North Market and back to Fanieul Hall. Many of the buildings are extant and many of the streets are gone.     $90.00
Boston: Symphony Hall-Massachusetts Avenue area.  From an unidentified Bromley atlas of Boston, estimated to be published about 1900. 18 x 28½ inches. Highlight color showing building material. Condition: a bit of time toning at the edges, with dog-eared upper margin corners; map face is very good. - Shows building footprints and water mains; names property owners. Symphony Hall, Horticultural Hall and the Christian Science complex have yet to be built. The area is bounded by Boylston Street, Dalton Street, snaking to Cumberland Street to the railroad tracks. Back along Gainsborough Street to Batavia, ending up at Westland Entrance, finally along the Fenway back to Boylston Street.  The spine of the area is along what we now call  Massachusetts Avenue. Many lots have yet to be developed.   $55.00
Charlestown: Outline and Index Map. From Charles W. Bromley, Atlas of the City of Boston ..., 1892. 20 x 29½ inches. Color refers to coverage of detailed plates. Condition: a bit of light overall time toning; map face is good. - At 400 feet/inch. shows the street pattern in what was then the 3rd, 4th and 5th Wards of the City of Boston. The Navy Yard is indicated. Rail terminals at waters edge are prominent, including the Hoosac Tunnel Docks.  $50.00
Charlestown: South of Monument Square. From Charles W. Bromley, Atlas of the City of Boston ..., 1892; Plate 7.  20 x 30 inches. Highlight color showing building material (mostly brick and wood). Condition: a bit of time toning at the edges, with stain at edge of full top margin; map face is very good. - Shows an area bounded by Monument Square (south side), Wallace Court, Chestnut  to Park to Warren and Winthrop Streets, thence along Main Street past Thompson to Green Street, to High Street and back to Monument Square. The following maps listed are from the Atlas of Middlesex  Massachusetts ...  published in Boston by George H. Walker and Co. in three volumes from 1900 to 1908. Volume 1 (1900) was originally published by George W. Stadley & Co., the stock of which was purchased by Walker.  Reference: LeGear (US Atlases) 1579.

Maps are on linen-backed sheets about 20 x 30 inches. They are similar to the Bromley maps insofar as highlight color is used on street, parks and aquatic features as well as to indicate exterior building material; outline color shows boundaries of cities, towns and wards. Railroad, street railways, building footprints, lot size, street numbers and hydrants are indicated. These maps are ex lib from the Engineers Office of the B & M Railroad. See the Hopkinton for examples of the "index" sheets and the detail sheets from the 1908 edition.

CAMBRIDGE: Central Square. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. Slightly tatty right margin; overall very good. - Covers a large swath of revitalized central Cambridge bounded by roughly DeWolfe and Trowbridge Streets, along Harvard and Washington Streets to Windsor, Lansdowne and Brookline Streets and then along Hamilton, Prince and Fairmont Streets and Putnam Avenue to River Street and the Charles. Some buildings, like City Hall have been there for a century. Building material is indicated. Scale is 200 feet/inch. Property owners on this sheet and others listed on verso in manuscript.   $120.00
CAMBRIDGE: Massachusetts Institute of Technology area. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. A light vertical crease about 4" in from the right; right margin and corners somewhat tatty; generally good. - Shows the pre-MIT layout from the Esplanade to the north of the Institute where related development has now spread. Building material is indicated.   Scale is 200 feet/inch. Property owners on this sheet and others listed on verso in manuscript.   $50.00
CAMBRIDGE: Mid-Cambridge. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. A very light vertical crease about at right; slightly tatty right margin and corners; overall good. - Covers the are bounded on the west by Trowbridge and Baldwin Streets, on east by Portland, Berkshire and Harding Streets, on the north by the Somerville line and on the south by Harvard and Washington Streets.  Scale is 200 feet/inch. CAMBRIDGE: West Cambridge - outer. Walker; 1900. Two plans on one sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. Slightly tatty right margin; very good. - Covers the far western stretches on Cambridge. One map shows there area beyond Fresh Pond by Belmont and Watertown. The other shows Coolidge Hill prior to its subdivision, Cambridge Cemetery and the flats along the Charles. Building material is indicated.  Scale is 200 feet/inch. EVERETT. Walker; 1900. 4 sheets, about 20 x 30". Highlight and boundary outline color. Tabs or damaged; overall very good. - Highly detailed maps covering the whole city at a scale of 250 feet/inch.  $80.00
FRAMINGHAM. Walker; 1908. 6 sheets, about 20 x 30". Highlight and outline color. Very good. - A sheet of the whole down, with 5 detail sheets of the more built-up parts. Building material are not shown on the town map, but are vivid on the detail sheets.   $150.00
HOLLISTON. Walker; 1908. 3 sheets, about 20 x 30". Some highlight and outline color. A waterstain, seen mostly on the reverse and very little on the face of the maps; overall very good. - A sheet of the whole town, with two supplementary sheet showing various built-up sections of the town in greater detail, showing the building material.   $120.00

NEWTON and WALTHAM. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight, outline and wash color. Some vertical creasing; overall very good. - A colorful index map for these two cities showing ward boundaries and the street layout at the time.   $40.00
NEWTON: Newton Highlands and southeast. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. Some vertical creasing; overall very good. - Shows Newton Highland and the area of large lots southeast to the West Roxbury and Needham lines at 500 feet/inch.   $60.00
NEWTON: Waban & part of Auburndale. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. Light vertical creasing; overall very good. - Shows these communities at 500 feet/inch, but just misses Newton Lower Falls.   $60.00
NEWTON: West Newton and the north. Walker; 1900. One sheet, about 20 x 30", backed on linen. Highlight and outline color. Light vertical creasing; overall very good. - Covers the area north of the Mass Turnpike and west of Silver Lake and Walnut Street at 400 feet/inch.   $50.00
SUDBURY. Walker; 1908. 2 sheets, about 20 x 30". Some highlight and outline color. A waterstain, seen mostly on the reverse and very little on the face of the map; overall very good. - A sheet of the whole town, with a supplementary sheet showing two sections of the town in greater detail, showing the building material.   $120.00
WALTHAM. Walker; 1900. 4 sheets, about 20 x 30". Highlight and boundary outline color. Some vertical creasing on all sheets; tabs are damaged; overall good to very good. - Highly detailed maps covering the whole city;  three of the four sheets are at a scale of 200 feet/inch.    $110.00
WAYLAND. Walker; 1908. 2 sheets, about 20 x 30". Some highlight and outline color. Very good. - The first sheet shows the whole town; on the same sheet is a more detailed plan of the town center showing building materials. The second sheet shows Cochituate in full detail; there is also a small inset of the Tower Hill area.  $100.00
WESTON. Walker; 1908. 2 sheets, about 20 x 30". Some highlight and outline color. A smudge in the supplementary sheet; overall very good. - A sheet of the whole town, with a supplementary sheet showing two section of the town in greater detail, showing the building material.   $125.00
