The maps listed are from the Atlas of Hartford City and County ..., published in Hartford by Baker & Tilden in 1869.

Straddling the Connecticut River, the county has a tradition of agriculture and early industrialization, specializing in precision devices. As the seat of state government and an insurance center, suburbanization has spread into most of the county's towns.

Maps are mostly on single-page sheets and printed only one side.  After the county map, they are listed in alphabetical order by town. All are original. This atlas was characterized by somewhat casual stencil coloring. While the maps were not printed on quality paper, they are presentable and in good or better condition. Apparent flaws are noted.  A digital picture can be supplied upon request.
