Rice paper backing, stabilizing the usual flaws at the
outer folds which are minimally discolored with
negligible fold loss after reinstatement of a portion of
upper right fold; a few minor spots, surface loss and
margin chips; for a large Moll map, good or better. A
superb overview of the largest and most geographically
varied country in Western Europe stretching from the
English Channel to the Riviera and from the Atlantic to
the Alps. Two index drapes key many cities and towns and
list their distance from Paris along with a numbered key
to the passes through the Pyrenees. Shows "post
roads and the Computed Leagues from Town to Town".
Parliamentary towns, "bishopricks" and
universities are indicated, as well as battles fought
with the English. |
