Covers the central provinces of modern Austria with mountains, rivers and lakes prominent. Noted is "Petrus Kaerius Caelavit".

Germany and adjacent from the Low Countries to the Vistuala to the head of the Adriatic, including Austria and Hungary.

From Variae Tabulae Geographicae ...   22½ x 29" (57 x 73 cm). Uncolored. Condition: Some edge tears to just inside lower border; minute loss at fold intersection; a bit of extraneous creasing; an original printing error at top right due to a fold causing the neat line corner to be disconnected; overall, good and a very good impression. Reference: Phillips (Atlases) 552 & 3386-16. 

A map of the Holy Roman Empire, said to be neither holy, Roman nor an empire. The extent of the map is from Chartre in France to Dantzig and from Schleswig to the Adriatic and the Italian Lakes. Visscher maps are characterized by the amazing amount of placename detail provided. A corner cartouche of human figures.

The Germanies, including the Austrian dominion to the Adriatic and Bohemia & Moravia (the present Czech Republic.) The suzerainty of the many political subdivisions are shown and an abundance of placenames.

Plan of the center of this historic city on the Elbe River before American bombers got to it in World War II. Blocks, streets and outlying plats are shown. Below are elevation drawings of important landmarks, centered on the Elbe Bridge.

A block plan at about 6 inches/mile, showing important building footprints within the inner ring and most building configurations outside. Below is a view of the city from the east.

All of Switzerland, spilling over into adjacent France, Germany, Austria and the Italy lake district. Shows the mountain ranges, the drainage system and many towns.

SWITZERLAND. Jeremiah Greenleaf. "Switzerland". 1848. From A New Universal Atlas ...  11 x 12½ inches (28 x 32 cm). Full original color to map subject. Condition: very good.

Swiss cantons are shown by color, including Geneva by this time.  Major roads are shown. The rugged topography is rendered, with the principal peaks and larger lakes named. One of the clearest maps of Switzerland from the period that we have seen. This map is from the second edition of Greenleaf's uncommon atlas, published in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Coverage is from west of Bern to Zurich at the northern edge to the Rhone Valley at the south, showing rivers leaving in four directions from near Gotthard Pass and several of the Swiss lakes.

Shows western Switzerland from Geneva in the lower left corner to beyond Bern in the northeast.

A view of the entire lake and its rugged surroundings, with Geneva indicated at the outflow.
