roads and early railroads at about 14
miles/inch. A numbered key identifies the
subdivisions of the amts or provinces.
Schleswig-Holstein, long contested between
Prussia and Denmark, is included. It was to
pass to Prussia as a result of the 1864 Prusso-Danish
