The maps listed are from either of the following sources, dated from 1867 or 1872:

F.W. Beers, Atlas of New York and Vicinity ..., NY: Beers, Ellis & Soule, 1867.  There were several variants of this atlas. Like this one, most included Westchester County in varying degrees of detail; at least one included maps of all towns in Fairfield County, Connecticut. 

J.B. Beers, County Atlas of Westchester, New York ..., NY: J.B. Beers & Co., 1872.  At the time, Westchester County included portions of what is now the borough of the Bronx.

How to Order

GREENBURGH.  F.W. Beers, 1867. Single-sheet; 16 x 13". Pale yellow wash color; touch of green at White Plains. Some time toning; generally very good. - Shows roads, railroads; outlying homesteads appear with owner's names. Fronting on the Hudson, the Saw Mill River runs down the middle of the township. Includes Hastings, Dobb's Ferry, Irvington and the blocks of Tarrytown. White Plains is at the eastern edge on the Bronx River. (18313) $70.00
GREENBURGH. "Town of Greenburgh".  J.B. Beers, 1872. Double-sheet; 24½ x 16". Full wash color. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - A township map in which are located the communities of Hasting, Dobbs Ferry and Irvington, with Tarrytown and White Plains at the borders.  Roads, railroads and the Croton Aqueduct are shown; outlying property owners are identified. A newly planned Central Avenue appears. The White Plains battleground and Rochechambeau's Headquarters house are labeled. Insets of Hart's Corners and Ashford. (16383) $80.00
In Greenburgh: HASTINGS UPON HUDSON / DOBBS' FERRY / IRVINGTON.   J.B. Beers, 1872. Three maps on a double-sheet; 16 x 25½", each about 18 x 8". Full wash color. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - This sheet complements the map of the Town of Greenburgh in the same atlas. Plans of the three Hudson River villages at 600 feet/inch. Streets are named; building footprints and lot lines appear; most property owners identified. The open Croton Aqueduct flows through each community.  (16384) $70.00
MOUNT PLEASANT. see Ossining.
NEW ROCHELLE and PELHAM.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Double-sheet; 25½ x 16". Full wash color. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - A map of both townships. Streets, railroads and building are indicated, with property owners identified in the outlying areas of New Rochelle, but few in Pelham.  At the time, Pelham extended into what is now New York City. Accordingly, a large inset of City Island provides great detail of that special place.  (16392) Sold
NEWCASTLE.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Single-sheet; 16 x 12½". Wash color by school district. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - Shows road, railroads and homesteads with owner's names. Mt. Kisco is at the eastern edge of the township. OSSINING and MOUNT PLEASANT.  F.W. Beers, 1867. Single-sheet; 16 x 13". Wash color by school district. Slight time toning; otherwise very good. - Shows roads and railroads; outlying homesteads are indicated with property owners' names. Includes the villages of Spring Valley, Scarborough, Sleepy Hollow, Unionville, Valhalla P.O. and the streets in the settlements of Sing Sing, Beekmantown, Pleasantville, with an inset of Pleasantville Station.  (18317) Sold
In Ossining: SING SING.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Double-sheet; 25 x 16". Tan wash color with green highlighting. Some time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - A highly detailed plan of the community at 330 feet/inch.  Streets are named; building footprints and lot lines appear; most property owner's identified. In Rye: PORTCHESTER.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Foldout sheet; 22 x 21". Pale tan wash color with green highlighting.  Mild time toning; apparent stain at vertical fold, horizontal fold stain is more pronounced; rice paper backing; else good. - A detailed plan of the community at 330 feet/inch. Streets are named; building footprints and lot lines shown,; most property owners are identified. Coverage extends to the Greenwich side of the Byram River.  (16393) $40.00
Near Tarrytown: TARRYTOWN HEIGHTS.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Double-sheet; 15 x 25". Green wash color. Rice paper backing; else very good. - A large lot subdivision plan of a tract laid out by Olmstead & Vaux. (16389) $50.00
WESTCHESTER COUNTY: EASTERN.  "Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, White Plains, Harrison & Rye." F.W. Beers, 1867. Single-sheet; 16 x 13". Wash color by towns. Some time toning; an iron spot; generally very good. - Shows the road pattern, railroads; homesteads appear with owner's names outside of the town centers. Cover the area between the Bronx River to Long Island Sound from Scarsdale and Larchmont to Connecticut. (18316) Sold
WESTCHESTER COUNTY: SOUTHERN.  "Plans of East Chester, Pelham and New Rochelle". F.W. Beers, 1867. Single-sheet; 16 x 12½". Wash color by towns. Some time toning; generally very good. - An overview of the street patterns, showing railroads and homesteads with owner's names in the interstices. The Hutchinson River runs through the center of the region; City Island is at the south. At the time, the county included part of the Bronx.  (18316) $50.00
YONKERS.  F.W. Beers, 1867. Single-sheet; 16 x 13". Pale yellow wash color; Yonkers city is shown in green. Some time toning; chips at original margin; generally good. - Shows roads, railroads; homesteads appear with owner's names outside of the town centers; Van Cortlandts are sprinkled toward the south. At the time, the Town of Yonkers included everything from the Hudson to the Bronx River and from the Harlem River at Spuyten Duyvel to Greenburgh.  (18313) $50.00
YONKERS and EASTCHESTER.  J.B. Beers, 1872. Double-sheet; 25½ x 16". Full wash color. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - Coverage is of two townships that have evolved into cities and suburban communities. Yonkers include the northwest Bronx from Spuyten Duyvil, northward to Riverdale and east to Woodlawn Cemetery; a colored line anticipates the future limits of New York City.  Along the Bronx River are Fleetwood, Bronxville and Tuckahoe; to the east is Mount Vernon. Streets, railroads and building are indicated, with property owner's names in the outlying areas. A "Central Avenue" traverses the center of the region. (16379) $80.00
YONKERS Downtown.  J.B. Beers, 1872. On two double-sheets; each 16 x 23½". Full wash color by city wards. Minimal time toning at edges; rice paper backing; else very good. - A detailed plan "village" at about 330 feet/inch.  Streets are named; building footprints and lot lines appear; most property owner's identified. Business notices are on each sheet. The swath of the Croton Aqueduct is shown. (16381) $90.00
